UNIXGen
is a general purpose instructional and research computing platform
for the students, faculty and staff of Miami University.

UNIXGen supports the following applications:

Host based applications and compilers such as:

  • Pine (IMAP mail)
  • C
  • Perl
  • PHP
  • SPSS
  • S-Plus
  • MATLAB

Client server applications including:

  • Oracle
  • ColdFusion
  • GCG GenBank

Web server for:

  • UNIXGEN

All Miami University students, faculty and staff
are automatically assigned accounts on UNIXGen
using their UniqueID as their login userid, with MUnet password.
